Blue Whale Statue Installed in Rudshur Power Plant

The statue of the Blue Whale was installed in the gas turbine hall of the Rudshur Power Plant with the aim of blending art with the industrial environment as well as supporting endangered animals.

Whale is the largest living animal on earth. Some species of whales weigh up to 35 meters in length and 200 tons. Whales are reckoned among mammals, they are warm-blooded and have a high intelligence. They are at the top of the food chain pyramid and play an important role in the overall health of the marine ecosystem.

Many kinds of whales are now in danger of extinction and are categorized in the Red List of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN-Red List).

Hunting, collision with ships and boats, being caught in fishing nets, sea contamination, swallowing plastic trash poured into oceans, food shortage due to climate change, also hearing and nervous system disorder due to radio waves jeopardize the life of this valuable animal.

By joining the #no_to_plastic campaign, MahTaab Group strives to make a few small contributions to revitalizing this valuable creature.
