Introduction

Caspian Power Plant is the first single shaft F-Class power plant in Iran. The construction of this project was started in the summer of 2016 and the gas unit was synchronized with the national grid for the first time on July 2018 and the steam turbine on May 2021. Commercial operation of the power plant in combine cycle mode began on August 2021.

TPPH Company purchases the generated electricity under the ECA (Energy Conversion Agreement) for a specified period of time. After the guaranteed purchase period, the power plant will supply its electricity to the Grid through the electricity market.

Objectives

  • To supply part of electricity demand specially in west of Mazandaran province
  • To compensate for regional network voltage drop in west of Mazandaran province
