Mazandaran Governor: Providing Reliable and Stable Electricity with Caspian Power Plant

Mr. Mohammad Islami, the governor of Mazandaran Province, attended the Caspian power plant with the presence of Managing Director of Regional Power Company of Mazandaran and Golestan and Managing Director of Electric Power Distribution Company of Mazandaran.
The Governor said: “With the launch of this plant, we hope that the West Mazandaran Electricity Distribution Company can successfully meet the peak demand in the warm seasons of the year and witness the delivery of reliable and stable electricity to the subscribers.
The governor pointed out that the 460 MW power plant project had a good progress, saying: We asked the investor to develop a new 500 MW project along with the plant, which should be followed up.
Mr. Hossein Afzali, managing director of Regional Electricity Company of Mazandaran , who accompanied the governor, said about the projects: Construction of the Caspian power plant was started in 2012 and now it is completed 96% in the gas sector and 85% and after the completion of the plant, the gas sector will generate 310 MW and the steam sector 150 MW. He added, “This project is very important for providing sustainable electricity at peak times.”
