Introduction

Caspian Power Plant is the first single shaft F-Class power plant in Iran.
The construction of this project was started in the summer of 2016 and the gas turbine will operate in summer of 2018 and the steam turbine will be operational in the summer of 2019.
Tavanir Company purchases the generated electricity under the ECA (Energy Conversion Agreement) for a specified period of time. After the guaranteed purchase period, the power plant will supply its electricity to the Grid through the electricity market.

Objectives

  • To supply part of electricity demand specially in west of Mazandaran province
  • To compensate for regional network voltage drop in west of Mazandaran province
