The Largest Wind Power Plant in Iran was Commissioned in Presence of the Minister of Energy

The 61.2 MW Siahpoush wind power plant was commissioned by the Minister of Energy, senior managers of the Ministry and Qazvin province.

The Minister of Energy at the opening ceremony of the Wind Power Plant said that we hope to achieve the 4,000 MW wind power plant in the 6th development plan. In order to save on fuel consumption and reduce environmental pollution, we activate the country’s wind power plants based on the 30,000 MW capacity program.

Ardakanian said: With the opening of the Siahpoush Power Plant, 45 million cubic meters of gas and 335,000 liters of water will be saved per year.

This 61.2 MW power plant was built in the Tarom of ​​Qazvin on ​​17 hectares, and for the implementation of this project, 89 million Euros have been invested from the National Development Fund facility and Tose^e Ta^avon Bank and set up within one year.

Preventing annual emissions of 110,000 metric tons of greenhouse gases, reducing environmental pollution equivalent to 1100 hectares of forest, reducing pollution by 22,000 vehicles and producing clean electric energy for more than 75,000 households or 250,000 people from other features of the Siahpoush wind farm.
