Development of Rudshur Power Plant Awaits Correction of Agreements

The development of the steam unit of Rudshur power plant with a production capacity of 345 MW due to the currency shock and lack of economic justification in the contract model, will face serious problems and if the Ministry of Energy does not provide special support, it will refrain from continuing executive activities.

Amir Kabir’s Managing Director added that increasing the efficiency of the power plant from 39 to 57 percent, increasing production capacity from 792 MW to 1137 MW, saving 720 million cubic meters/liter of fuel annually and significantly reducing environmental pollution in proportion to unused fuel are among the benefits of building steam and power plants.

He Said: If the challenges of the mutual sale contract for the conversion of gas power plants into a combined cycle are not solved by the Ministry of Energy, the construction of the steam unit of Rudshur power plant, which is currently in operation with 3 gas units, will be delayed.
