Environmental Protection Organization of Kerman Province praised the Kahnouj Without Plastic campaign

Iran is one of the most consumed countries in disposable plastic items in the world. With the successful implementation of the “No to Plastic” campaign in the offices and power plants of MahTaab, the Kahnouj Without Plastic Campaign was formed in May 2019.

The significant number of students visiting Shobad Energy Park motivated this capacity to be used by attracting the participation of other citizens for the vital environmental issue of the 80,000 populated city of Kahnouj. The vision of the campaign is to transform Kahnouj into an environmentally friendly model city in the field of waste, especially plastic waste. Kahnouj without plastic is a continuous program and is compiled and implemented periodically.

The Director General of the Environmental Protection Organization of Kerman Province, while appreciating this popular movement, stated: Protecting the gifts and resources of God is the way to achieve sustainable development and human progress and excellence. This, of course, requires national determination and public participation and diligent efforts in the field of the country’s environment, and those who work in this field have a great mission on their shoulders.
