Mahtab Kish Expands Desalinated Water Production Capacity on Kish Island
The expansion project of Mahtab Kish’s desalination plant commenced in May of last year. Today, with the commissioning of the new system and the addition of 6,000 cubic meters of desalinated water production capacity, the island’s total water production capacity will effectively increase by 21%.
Completed in less than one year, the project required an investment of more than €4.5 million and over 1,500 man-months of work. Mahtab Kish hopes that, as a result of this development, both residents and visitors to Kish Island will not face water shortages during the upcoming summer season.
