Rudshur Power Plant Steam Unit Project Moves Forward to Support Power Supply During Summer 2025 Peak Demand

As the warmer months approach and electricity demand continues to rise, the steam section project of the Rudshur Power Plant is progressing at an accelerated pace. In this regard, water-filling and steam generation operations for Boiler No. 3 have commenced, while the steam blowout process for Boiler No. 2 is being carried out simultaneously.

According to the project schedule and current progress, the commissioning and synchronization of the Rudshur steam unit with Iran’s national power grid is expected to take place in July 2025 at full capacity.

The completion of this project will not only contribute significantly to enhancing the reliability and stability of power generation in the region, but will also play a vital role in meeting peak electricity demand during the summer season. Furthermore, the commissioning of the steam unit will substantially improve the overall efficiency of the Rudshur Power Plant and help reduce fossil fuel consumption through more efficient power generation.
