Rudshur Steam Turbine Synchronized with the National Grid for the First Time
The steam turbine unit of the Rudshur Power Plant was successfully synchronized with Iran’s national power grid for the first time at 7:05 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Following synchronization, the unit entered a two-hour trial operation utilizing the plant’s second boiler, during which it generated 55 MW of electricity.
According to the project schedule, commissioning activities will continue with the startup of the third boiler next week. Upon completion of the required adjustments and testing procedures, the steam unit will be synchronized using two boilers, marking another significant milestone in the plant’s development.
This achievement represents an important step toward the commercial operation of the steam section and the full realization of the combined-cycle capacity of the Rudshur Power Plant, contributing to higher efficiency and increased electricity generation.
