Commencement of Nominal-Capacity Power Generation in the Rudshur Steam Unit
In the early hours of Tuesday, 26 August 2025, a significant milestone was achieved in the development of the Rudshur combined-cycle power plant. Following final adjustments and resolution of initial defects, the steam unit’s operational output exceeded 300 MW for the first time.
Accordingly, synchronized operation of all three boilers at maximum capacity was successfully completed, even under challenging high-temperature summer conditions.
This important achievement not only demonstrates the full readiness of the steam section for continuous operation, but also highlights the plant’s significant role in ensuring stable electricity supply for the country, particularly during peak summer demand.
In the coming months, after completion of the necessary legal and administrative procedures, the commercialization process of the steam unit is expected to be officially finalized and the buy-back contract activated. This milestone will mark the end of the construction phase and the beginning of a new chapter of sustainable and economic operation for this national project.
