The Third Steam Unit of Urmia Combined Cycle Power Plant was Synchronized with the National Electricity Grid

With the operation of this section, the steam unit of Urmia combined cycle power plant worth 400 million euros was completed.

The construction of the steam section of the combined cycle power plant of Urmia is based on paragraph 19 of the budget law of the year 2019 of the whole country based on the mechanism of capital return from fuel savings. Operation of the third steam unit of Urmia combined cycle power plant will also save 785 million cubic meters of fuel annually.

Urmia combined cycle power plant with 6 gas units and three steam units with a capacity of 1472 megawatts is one of the largest and most advanced power generation units in the west of the country.
