SATBA Issues Construction Permit for a 12 MW Solar Power Plant in Sarakhs
The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA) has issued a construction permit for a 12 MW solar power plant at the Shams Sarakhs Power Plant site. The project will be implemented by Sarakhs Solar Power Generation Company (Private Joint Stock Company) with the aim of expanding clean energy infrastructure and increasing the share of renewable energy in Iran’s electricity generation mix.
According to the permit, the authorization has been granted pursuant to Articles 5 and 6 of the Iran Electricity Organization Law, as well as Clauses 5 and 6 of Article 6 of the Statute of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA). The permit was issued in response to electronic application No. 15701095 submitted by Sarakhs Solar Power Generation Company (PJSC) for the construction of a solar power plant with a nominal capacity of 12 MW in Sarakhs County, Razavi Khorasan Province.
The implementation of this project aligns with the company’s strategy to diversify its investment portfolio while addressing the country’s growing demand for clean and sustainable energy resources. Once operational, the solar power plant will contribute to reducing dependence on fossil fuels, lowering environmental pollutants, and enhancing the nation’s energy security.
