Introduction
Shobad Power Plant was inaugurated as the largest investment of private sector in south of Kerman Province in 2015. The first phase operated in Spring of 2013 and the first gas unit operated in winter 2014 and its second gas unit in the spring of 2015. The steam unit was synchronized to the network in September and was operational in the October 2016.
The power plant consists of a complete combined cycle included of two V94.2 gas turbines and an E30 series steam turbine. The gas units consist of a 16-stage compressor and two silo combustion chambers, each of which contains 8 burner burners that can ignite with gas and liquid fuel. The turbines of these 4-stage units are with blades made of ceramic-coated nickel base materials.
The generators of these units are three-phase type with a capacity of 200 MVA and a power factor of 0.8 with a nominal output voltage of 15.75 KV.
The steam unit of this plant consists of two heat recovery boilers with two levels of super saturation steam, high pressure (HP) and low pressure (LP). The steam turbine contains 31 stages, with 24 stages of HP and 7 stages of LP.
The steam generator unit is a three-phase type with a capacity of 202 MVA and a power factor of 0.8 with a nominal output voltage of 15.75 KV.
The main cooling system of the plant is the type of ACC, which for the first time was constructed with a concrete foundation.
The control system is implemented through the telecentric control system of Teleperm XP.
In this power plant, 12660 trees are planted with weather conditions in order to create green space. In order to desertification, 300 trees have been planted in the outer space of the plant through a memorandum of understanding with with the government.
